    1998年3月进入北京大学计算机科学技术研究所(即北大方正技术研究院)博士后流动站,从事博士后研究工作。
    2000年4月起在中国科学院自动化研究所模式识别国家重点实验室工作。

    国家自然科学基金委员会第十二、十三届专家评审组成员、国家物联网基础标准工作组专家、国际权威刊物IEEE Transactions on Systems, Man, and Cybernetics, Part B: Cybernetics的Associate Editor。

     授权发明专利40余项。主持完成了国家某大型网络监管重点示范工程项目,负责完成的敏感图像和视频识别技术、兴奋剂宣传销售信息识别技术得到了实际应用,负责开发了网络多模态有害信息过滤系统,带领团队研发成功直播平台云审核系统(一款类脑智能产品,已使用超过2年)、便携式手机特定视频检测装备(已在实战发挥作用)、异质媒体监测系统产品(已交某部级单位实际使用)、网络直播智能监控系统(成功中标央广视讯播控平台),相关技术还被国家计算机网络与信息安全管理中心、国家电网、央广视讯、华为、新浪等多家企事业单位采购,取得了显著的经济效益和社会效益。有7年作为软件工程师的软件系统开发经历,独立完成源代码20万行以上,完成的商业化软件产品—方正智绘地图晕渲系统广泛使用于测绘、地矿、农业、林业、出版等行业。

     2004年以第二完成人获北京市科学技术奖(基础研究类)一等奖。2008年以第一完成人获北京市科学技术奖(基础研究类)二等奖。2012年以第一完成人获北京市科学技术奖(技术发明类)一等奖。2013年以第一完成人获北京市发明专利奖一等奖、以第一完成人获中国专利优秀奖。2015年以唯一完成人获吴文俊人工智能科学技术奖一等奖。
