Research Profile

 Luo Xisheng, male, currently works as a professor and doctoral supervisor at the Department of Modern Mechanics, University of Science and Technology of China. Luo was admitted to USTC in September 1989 and joined the faculty in 1997, the year when he obtained his master’s degree. In August 2000, Luo went to study at the Department of Applied Physics, Eindhoven University of Technology, Holland, and graduated with a Ph.D. degree in May 2004. Luo worked at the University of Aachen, Germany in September 2004 and was appointed Adjunct Professor of Harbin Engineering University in 2006. Under the Hundred Talents Scheme of USCT, Luo came back to work at the Department of Modern Mechanics of USTC in May 2008. Prof. Luo is mainly engaged in research on aerodynamics, multiphase fluid mechanics, visualization and measurement of high-speed particle flow and transient flow, etc. Prof. Luo has authored more than 30 research artile papers published in top journal in FLUID MECHANICS such as  Journal of Fluid Mechanics, Physcis of Fluids, Journal of Computational Physics, Shock Waves and Computers and Fluids. Besides, Prof. Luo has been to many countries and regions undertaking collaborative research and/or academic exchange missions such as Germany, France, the Netherlands, Belgium, India, etc.
