Chen Hongli, female, born in 1968, currently works as a professor and doctoral supervisor at the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC). Chen also serves as Deputy Director of the Graduate Division and Assistant Dean of the School of Nuclear Science and Technology of USTC. Chen obtained her B.S. from Xi'an Jiaotong University in 1989, and her Ph.D. in Nuclear Energy Science and Engineering from the Institute of Plasma Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2007. From 2007 to 2008, Chen undertook her research work as a visiting scholar in the collaborative project of the International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor (ITER) at the French Headquarters in Cadarache. Prof. Chen is mainly interested in the research on design for advanced nuclear reactors, thermal hydraulics design,magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) and related technologies.
