Research Profile

    Wang Pei, male, professor and Ph.D. supervisor, is currently the Vice Dean of the Department of Optics & Optical Engineering at the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC).He also serves as the Deputy Director of the Anhui Provincial Key Laboratory of Optoelectronic Science and Technology. Professor Wang has undertaken a number of scientific research projects sponsored respectively by the Key Program of National Natural Science Foundation of China,the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC), the National High Technology Research and Development Program of China (namely, the “863” Program), the Research Foundation for Outstanding Young Scientists of Anhui Province,the Natural Science Foundation of Anhui Province,etc. Besides, in his capacity as a key academic researcher, Professor Wang has actively participated in many key research projects under the National Basic Research Program of China (also known as the “973” Program) and others. In recent years, Professor Wang has published more than 30 research papers in journals indexed by SCI such as Optics Letters, Optics Express, Applied Physics Letters, Journal of Applied Physics, Applied Physics B, Nanotechnology, Plasmonics, and Optics Communications. Until now, Professor Wang has had a number of patents for inventions requested and granted. Professor Wang’s current research interest concerns micro/nano optics, nonlinear optics, super-resolution beyond diffraction limits, surface plasmon optics and its application, etc.
