Research Profile

     Dr. Jin Zhao, professor, received her bachelor degree from the Department of Physics of the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC) in July 1998, 
and her Ph.D degree from the Hefei National Laboratory for Physical Sciences at the Microscale, USTC, in December 2003. 
Dr. Zhao pursued her postdoctoral studies at the University of Pittsburgh from March 2004 to August 2008. 
In the period between September 2008 and February 2010, she worked as a Research Assistant Professor at the University of Pittsburgh. 
Since 2010 Dr. Zhao has been working as a full professor at the Hefei National Laboratory for Physical Sciences at the Microscale, USTC, 
and has been selected into the “Hundred Talents Program” of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS). 
She is also an Adjunct Professor with the University of Pittsburgh.
     
     Dr. Zhao has previously been selected as the recipient of the Excellent Doctoral Dissertation Award of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), 
and the M.T. Thomas Award for Outstanding Postdoctoral Achievement, Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (USA). 
Dr. Zhao has more than 30 publications in journals including Science, Chemical Reviews, Physical Review Letters et.al. Her work has been cited more than 500 times.
