Liang Haiyi, male, currently works as a professor and doctor supervisor at the Department of Modern Mechanics, University of Science and Technology of China. Liang received his Ph.D. degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Science and Technology of China in 2001. Liang did his postdoctoral research at, in chronological order, the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Hong Kong Polytechnic University from January 2002 to December 2003, the Department of Mechanical Engineering, National University of Singapore from July 2005 to December 2005, the Division of Engineering, Colorado School of Mines from January 2005 to February 2006, and the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences, Harvard University from March 2006 to February 2010. Liang was selected into the Hundred Talents Program of the Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2010. Prof. Liang’s research area covers DNA architecture, mechanobiology, digital structures, metamaterials, etc.
