Research Profile

Weijun ZHANG, male, born in 1962, Ph.D, Professor, Director of Laboratory of Environmental Spectroscopy, Anhui Institute of Optics and Fine Mechanics (AIOFM), the Chinese Academy of Sciences. Main interests are research on detection methods of trace pollutants, mechanism of environmental pollution and nonlinear optical phase conjugation. Current emphases are as follows: (1) Developing laser spectroscopic and mass spectroscopic detection methods for trace organic pollutant, aerosol and important free radical in realtime; (2) Studying the reaction mechanism of free radical in the formation processes of second pollutant; (3) Studying the applications of optical phase conjugation in laser and laser propagation.Dr. Zhang received his B.S., M.S. and Ph.D degrees in University of Science and Technology of China and AIOFM respectively. He worked in Max-Planck-Institut für Str?ungsforschung of Germany and National Institute for Environmental Studies of Japan as postdoctoral research fellow and visiting scholar. Dr. Zhang is in charge of several projects from National Natural Science Foundation, National 863 Plan and the Chinese Academy of Sciences. More than 70 papers were published. Dr. Zhang obtained the Governmental Special Allowance of the State Council and the Excellent Graduate Advisor Award of the Chinese Academy of Sciences.
