Metamorphic geochemistry of eclogite-facies rocks, with main concerns on the high-pressure (HP) and ultrahigh-pressure (UHP) rocks in subduction zones. Integrated modern petrology, element and isotope geochemical approaches are used to understand the metamorphic chemical geodynamics in subduction zones, including:
(1) the origin, nature, composition and role of subduction-zone fluids;
(2) the behavior of mineral, element and isotope during subduction and exhumation of HP and UHP rocks, with special attention to their response to the fluid activity;
(3) the metasomatic effects on mantle wedge rocks produced by subduction-zone fluids and thus crust-mantle interaction in subduction zone.
