Yonghua Fang, born in 1966, Professor. Chief scientist for IR hyper-spectral information processing and application, Anhui Institute of Optics & Fine Mechanics, Chinese Academy of Sciences. Graduated from Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics in 1986, Dr. Fang obtained M.S. and Ph.D. in Anhui Institute of Optics & Fine Mechanics in 1992 and 1998 respectively. From 2000 through 2002, he worked in Max Planck Institute for Meteorology, Germany as a visiting scholar. Research involves infrared remote sensing, atmospheric radiative transfer, digital signal processing, image analysis, and pattern recognition.
