Yin Min,professor and doctoral supervisor at the Department of Physics, University of Science and Technology of China (USTC). Prof. Yin has been selected into the list of recipients supported by the Trans-Century Training Program Foundation for Talents by the Ministry of Education of China. He also serves as Vice President of the School of Physical Sciences, USTC, Deputy Director of the Professional Committee on Luminescence under the Chinese Society of Rare Earths, and Member of the Commission for Luminescence of Chinese Physical Society.
BSc (1983) and MSc (1986 )and DSc (1995)in Physics from USTC. From 1989 to 1990, he advanced his studies at the Research Center for Advanced Science and Technology, University of Tokyo, Japan. From 1995 to 1996, he was a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Paris-Sud, France. In 1998 and 2000, he was invited twice to France for cooperative research on rare earth luminescence. In 2003, he has won the first prize of the Fourth Anhui Provincial Natural Science Excellent Thesis Award. In the past decade, Professor Yin has had a total of more than 60 papers published in journals indexed by SCI such as Physical Review B, Journal of Physical Chemistry B, and Chemical Physics Letter. Besides, he has also presided over a number of research projects supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the Trans-Century Training Program Foundation for Talents by the Ministry of Education, as well as the Specialized Research Fund for the Doctoral Program of Higher Education of China by the Ministry of Education.
