Prof. LI Can, born in 1960, male, Ph.D. from a joint program by Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics of Chinese Academy of Sciences and Tokyo Institute of Technology.
He worked as a postdoctoral and/or visiting scholar at the University of Louvain (Belgium), Northwestern University (U.S.), University of Liverpool (U.K.), University of Tokyo (Japan), and Lehigh University (U.S.).
As a doctoral supervisor at the Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Prof. Li serves as director of the Dalian State Key Laboratory of Catalysis. He is also director of the Committee of Catalysis of the Chinese Society of Chemistry, chairman of the International Council of Catalysis Societies and Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry of UK. Prof. Li was elected an Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2003, Academician of the Third World Academy of Sciences in 2005 and foreign academician of European Academy of Natural Sciences and Humanities.
His main research interests include catalytic materials, catalytic reactions and catalysis spectrum table.
