Qinghe Mao received his Ph.D degree in Physical-Electronics from Southeast University, Nanjing, China, in 1996. Right after his graduation, he joined the Department of Electronic Engineering, Southeast University. From Feb. of 2000 to Feb. of 2004, he was with the Department of Physics and Computer Science, Wilfrid Laurier University, Waterloo, Canada, as a Postdoctoral Research Associate and a Research Scientist, respectively. He has been with Anhui Institute of Optics & Fine Mechanics as a Professor of Optics since 2004 when he was awarded by the "Hundreds of Talents Program" of Chinese Academy of Sciences.
Prof. Mao has engaged in many research programs in Photonics, published more than 100 refereed journal and conference papers, and been invited to participate in the manuscript reviewing processes for several famous international journals. His research interests include optical fiber amplifiers and lasers, highpower fiberoptic devices, multiwavelength optical networks, nonlinear fiber optics, ultrashort optical pulses and alloptical signal processing.
