Xiaohong Zheng, male, born in 1975, Ph.D., Associate Professor of Institute of Solid State Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences. Dr. Zheng obtained his Bachelor’s degree from Hunan Normal University in 1998, Master’s degree from the same university in 2001, and Ph.D. degree from Institute of Solid State Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2005. He had carried out post-doc research in North Carolina State University (USA) from June 2006 to May 2008. He has published (first author and co-author) nearly 50 peer-reviewed papers on international journals such as Phys. Rev. B, Appl. Phys. Lett., ACS Nano, J. Phys. Chem. C, J. Chem. Phys., etc.His current research interests focus on computational study of geometrical and electronic structures in low dimensional systems and electron transport in molecular and nanoelectronic devices. Now, he is undertaking three research projects supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) and the Scientific Research Foundation for the Returned Overseas Chinese Scholars, State Education Ministry. Students with backgrounds of physics, chemistry and other related disciplines (theory and computation) are encouraged to apply.
