Research Profile

    BSc(1979) in chemistry from Anhui Normal University; MSc( 1989)and DSc (1992)from University of Science and Technology of China (USTC); From May 1997 to August 1997, he worked at the Tulane University, USA, as a Senior Visiting Scholar. From September 1997 to September 1999, he conducted his postdoctoral study at the Brandeis University, USA. From September 1992 to May 1997, he had worked successively as an Assistant Teacher, Lecturer, and Associate Professor at USTC. Since September 1999, he has been working at the Hefei National Laboratory for Physical Sciences at Microscale and the Department of Chemistry of USTC as a full professor. In 2000, he was selected into the “Hundred Talents Program” of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS). In the periods between June 2003 and September 2003, and between October 2005 and March 2006, he worked as a Visiting Professor at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine, USA.
     Prof. Wang’s main research interests are in organic reactions of nanometer catalytic materials, bio-organic chemistry and organic materials chemistry. He has had a total of over 100 research papers published in peer-reviewed internationally-known journals indexed by SCI including the J. Am. Chem. Soc, J. Org. Chem, Coord. Chem. Rev, Chem. Eur. J., etc. of which over 90 were in first author or corresponding author capacity.
