Research Profile

    Wei Guo, graduated from Dept. of Radio Electronics of USTC in July 1983, majoring in Radio Technology and obtained doctoral degree in Academic Division of Mathematics and Physics of CAS in June 1992. He once worked in Communications Research Institute, Ministry of Posts of Japan from 1994 to 1995 and in Hong Kong University of Science and Technology in 1998. In recent years he has undertaken and completed several national major projects including 863 Project, 973 Project, project of National Natural Science Foundation and CAS Innovation Project. He was appointed to be a member of general group of China's third generation mobile communications R&D project since Jan.1999, member of general group of China's future mobile communication system project since 2002, and member of expert group of Communication Technology of 863 Project during the Tenth Five-year Plan. He is currently a member of general expert group of national major projects of broadband wireless communications. He won the Second Prize of National Science and Technology Progress Award and State Council Special Allowance. He is currently doing research on the key technologies and system of future wireless communication networks.
