Research Profile

Hou Zhonghuai graduated from Department of Chemical Physics, University of Science and Technology of China (USTC)in 1994, completed Ph.D. program in 1998 and did postdoctoral research in Nonlinear Science Center of USTC. He was a visiting scholar in California State Polytechnic University from 1999 to 2001. In Jan. 2002 he came back and was appointed professor in Department of Chemical Physics of USTC and was appointed to be a PhD. supervisor in Apr. 2003. He joined Department of Theoretical and Computational Sciences in Hefei National Laboratory for Physical Sciences at the Microscale in 2004. He mainly researches on nonequilibrium statistic problems in Mesoscopic Chemical Reaction Systems and has published over 70 papers on SCI. He won the Nationwide Hundred Excellent Doctoral Dissertation Prize in 2000 and the First Prize in 2003 Anhui Natural Science. he was also elected as state-level candidate for New Century Talents Project in 2004 and New-Century Excellent Talents in Universities by Ministry of Education in 2005, and won the Young Chemists Award from Chinese Chemistry Society in 2006.
