Research Profile

    Qin-Hua Song, male, born in 1965, is a professor and Ph.D. supervisor at the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC). Song received his master’s degree from the Fourth Academy of then the Ministry of Space and Aviation Industry, PRC in 1992, and his doctorate from the Shanghai Institute of Nuclear Research, Chinese Academy of Sciences in 1997. Song became an Associate Professor at the Department of Chemistry, USTC in 1999 and was promoted to Professor in 2005. His research interests include photoinduced electron transfer, charge transfer and energy transfer. In recent years, his research interests focus on Organic Luminescent and Charge-Transfer Materials for OLEDs, Dye-Sensitized Solar Cells and Chemical Sensors.

Students interested in obtaining a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry are welcome to join the Song group. Since the research is interdisciplinary and integrates organic synthesis, photochemistry and materials chemistry, students with background in organic chemistry, photochemistry or materials chemistry can apply for graduate study in Chemistry Program at USTC.
