Research Profile

    Yuming Wang, male, professor, Ph.D. supervisor, winner of National Natural Science Funds for Distinguished Young Scientists. After he received Ph.D in Geophysics, USTC in 2003, Yuming Wang worked as a teacher at USTC, and was prompted to full professor in 2006. Now he is appointed as an editor of JGR-Space Physics (2014-2017) and the Chinese Journal of Geophysics (since 2013). His research mainly focuses on solar-terrestrial physics and space weather. So far he has published more than 50 SCI papers. He has served as reviewers for many international journals like Astrophysical Journal, Astronomy & Astrophysics, Journal of Geophysical Research, Geophysical Research Letters, etc. Yuming Wang received many awards, including National Excellent Doctoral Dissertation Award in 2005, Top 10 Outstanding Youths of Jianghuai in 2008, Fu Chengyi Award for Outstanding Young Scientists, Chinese Geophysical Society in 2009, China Youth Science and Technology Award in 2011, and Tan Kah Kee Science Award for Young Scientists in Earth Sciences in 2012.
