Research Profile

Huang Jinshui, professor, Ph.D. supervisor, PhD. in Solid Geophysics; BS.in Geophysics, 1986, Peking University; MS. and PhD. in Solid Geophysics,1988-1996, Institute of Geodesy and Geophysics, CAS; 2001-2003, did research on mantle convection in University of Colorado; 2005-2007, did research on mantle dynamics and chemical evolution in Australian National Unviersity. Currently he mainly researches on mantle convection, geochemical evolution, geodynamics and earth gravity. He presided and took part in over 20 research projects supported by National Natural Science Funds and Key Project of Ministry of Education and provincial key projects. He has published over 30 papers on Journal of Geophysics, Geophysical Reseach Letter,Chinese Science Bulletin and Chinese Journal of Geophysics. Research interests: properties of lithosphere and mantle dynamics and mantle structure; Numerical simulation of mantle convection and parallel computation;Tectonics and Geodynamics; crustal deformation and its dynamics;spatial and temporal characteristics of Earth's gravity field and geophysical implications; Representation Theory of the Earth's gravity field and approximation methods
